Meet Our Specialist
Dr Wong Keng Yean
Paediatric Cardiology
Dr Wong Keng Yean trained in Paediatric Cardiology for 2 years in the Royal Children Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He then worked in the National Heart Centre for 2 years before starting up the Cardiology Dept in KK Women’s and Children Hospital which he headed for 15 years. He was involved in research and training of paediatric cardiologists, graduate and post graduate training. He was appointed Associate Clinical Professor, and Adjunct Associate Professor, National University Hospital, Adjunct Associate Professor, Duke Graduate Medical School and was Visiting Consultant to Singapore National Heart Centre and the Neonatal Dept of SGH and KKH. He practises full time Paediatric Cardiology.
He has given lectures and done paediatric cardiac mission work in China, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Dr Wong has published many research papers both in local and overseas journals on Paediatric Cardiology and gave the 8th College of Paediatrics and Child Health Lectureship 2013 which is awarded to distinguished members of the College in recognition of their work in the field
